Durlock Lodge was a great value for money with an amazing house lodge and all the amenities we needed. The location was peaceful and friendly, with a lovely garden and some adorable chickens. The hosts, David and Nicky, were welcoming and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast menu could improve by including more options like bread and butter to go along with the complimentary jam and cereal.

I recently had a wonderful experience staying at a charming lodge in a peaceful location. the lodge is nestled in a tranquil area next to a beautiful church. the surroundings were absolutely stunning, with picturesque views all around. the room was cozy and comfortable, with lovely oak beams and elegant pine stairs and doors. the hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable. There was also a delightful local restaurant nearby, offering delicious meals.
I was slightly disappointed with the breakfast options available. the continental breakfast consisted of orange juice, milk, and cereal boxes.

The location of the hotel is absolutely wonderful, with the abbey just across the street and charming English pubs and restaurants within walking distance. It truly feels like stepping into a bygone era. I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast! The complimentary self-service spread included a delicious assortment of croissants, rolls, preserves, butter, milk. It was a delightful start to the day.

The location of this place is super quiet and in such an attractive area, with plenty of things to see and do within easy walking distance. It's a dream for foodies, as there are several great eating places nearby. Plus, if you don't have your own transport, no worries! There's a bus stop and train station just a few minutes away. The twin room was incredibly spacious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a bath instead of a shower cubicle. The slightly old-fashioned decor added so much character to the place. The breakfast spread was mind-blowing - a great selection of cereals, yoghurts, and warm croissants. The fact that you could enjoy breakfast in the comfort of your room made it even better. Free Wi-Fi, a car park, outdoor dining area, flat-screen TV, electric kettle. And if you bring your furry friend along, they're allowed too. a fantastic experience with no complaints at all!

We had a wonderful stay at Durlock Lodge. The studio we stayed in was a charming converted building with its own small garden. It was perfect for us and our dog. The location was great, with a lovely local restaurant just a couple of minutes walk away. The room was peaceful, quiet, and had everything we needed. The attention to detail was impressive, from the selection of breakfast items in the fridge to the little garden next to the Durlock Lodge garden. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!
